Smile Removing the locking wheel nuts with the key (again)

Removing wheel lock nuts without the key - I know this has been gone over many times but I was in the same predicament and after two false starts I got the right tool and it was pretty straightforward. Just get the Irwin Bolt Grip Extension set that has the 19mm socket.

This is for a 2000 XK8 and the locking nuts don't have domes although I suspect that will make little difference if you cut the domes off using a Dremel and chisel.

Anyway I thought I'd share here as encouragement for others!

Mods if this is just repeating what's gone before please delete

Mike,

I'm mystified - not by the post but why your Profile shows XK8 Coupe X100 and your Signature shows X300 1994/5 .........

I can only apologise, I got very muddled setting things up having bought another Jaguar. Initially I had an X300 and stupidly sold it, I now have an XK8. I will try and sort it out.
