Replace Alpine navigation with Denso?

doubt it would since all components (deck, navigation, cd changer, and amplifiers) are alpine, they have the same BUS cummunications, and when one stops talking the same language the whole system doesn't work. nobody has been able to replace a CD changer, let alone a nav system and keep the stock system operating.

If you search in the audio/visual area, I ended up using my stock screen for an aftermarket Garmin 'blackbox' nav unit. Works pretty cool, just have to do a little RGB video splicing, install a NAVTV switch box (if you want to keep the clock, otherwise, none needed), add a video toggle switch below your dash (same reason above), and tap into the amplifier leads for voice directions along with the tele-mute line of the Alpine deck. Everything is remote ran on the Garmin and you're all of a sudden using 2009 maps!
I'd estimate under $1000 damage for a system upgrade by your local shop.
