Replace two-month old valve cover gasket?

Hello guys-
Quick question here:
New valve cover gaskets (including spark plug o-rings) were installed in my car about 2 months ago. I would now like to pop one of the valve covers off to investigate a couple of things.
Since my current gasket is only two months old, must I replace it when I pop the cover off this time, or can I use the current gasket and o-rings if they appear to be in good shape?
I know the rule of thumb is to replace, but maybe since the gasket is just two months old, I can get away with it. I'm assuming I should reapply gasket sealant when I bolt everything back together...which sealant is recommended?
Thanks very much for your help.

Dont use sealant there is no need and you will just make it worse, if the gasket is only 2 months old as you say it should be fine, it is only when they are old and the rubber has gone a bit hard does it ever cause probs, they are made from quite a soft rubber and I have never had any worries.
