Default Replacing Brembo Brake Discs and Pads

Hi,

I recently took my car to the shop for 110k service and asked for a quote on replacing the quite badly worn (drilled) brembo discs and pads. The price was so high (almost £1000) I decided it's time to get down and dirty with the puss as I can get the parts for £250. I've read a few posts here that this should be an easy DIY job. I'm just wondering if there's any special tools I need for this (eg torque wrench)? As far as I know it's just a matter of removing the wheel and the brake caliber and the rotors should come off given that they're not rusted in place. Is there anything else to it?

The rear's may need the handbrake shoes adjusting back a couple of turns to drop the rears off. They'll need adjusting correctly once the new discs are on.

Plenty of copperslip on the disc centre and back of the wheels on install.

Why not bleed the brakes with fresh fluid while your at it, prolly not been done since original supply?

Thanks! The rears are fine as they've been done earlier so it's only the fronts. I also had the brake fluid changed at the shop since it's a bit tricky to do without an assistant. Are there any bolts or nuts that need to be in a specific torque?

£1000 for two steel discs is a disgrace, though I can well believe it from Jaguar. Every time I use my Brembos I think about the £££s being turned into brake dust
