Replacing Key and FOB Cost: 2003 XK8?
Hey guys-
Went to movies last night and some how I lost my 2003 Jaguar Key and FOB.
All I have is a Valet Key.
Called dealership, they want 500.00 to cut a key, FOB and program it.
I knew it would be expensive, I wasn't thinking 500.00, ouch.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
dbschroeder

Used and new fobs (you want 2001-2006 US models only) are widely available on ebay for very little $. DIY programming directions can be found on this forum...do a search.
Get a quote to cut and program the key only from your dealer, then try some other dealers or Jag Indie's for comparison. You might find a locksmith to do it also, but they are rare.

If you haven't already, call the theatre, ask for the manager, explain your situation, and leave him/her your name and phone number. Their clean-up crews may have already found your key wedged in your seat, on the floor, etc. It's certainly worth a phone call if you have not already spoken to them....

Guys-
Thanks for your responses
Great news, I did in fact return to the theater the following day, and 15 min before my arrival, someone had found them and turned them in, way cool-this was in fact after a thorough search my me and my daughter the previous night.
This saved me a ton of dough.
Thanks again everyone.
