Replacing the Master Window Switch Pack

Replacing the Master Window Switch Pack
So I gave the old switch several tries to get it to work disassembling and repairing the circuit board. I could not however get the power mirror toggle to work correctly. So I broke down and spent $158 with shipping for a new switch. It resolved all the issues and all is working including the Reverse mirror drop and return so I am feeling good about the repair.
While off I thought I would take a few pictures and share the steps.
Remove the rubber insert in the bottom of door panel pocket be simple working up a corner and pulling, should come out without much effort and lay it aside.
small screw driver or similar tool under an edge and grab with fingers or gently with needle nose pliers.
There is a small plastic piece covered in matching upholstery that covers the one screw that holds the switch in place. The piece is attached with a christmas tree style insert. Insert tool behind the piece and slowly push toward center of pocket until you can see the insert then slide tool around it and slowly work it back. You can then pull it out and lay it aside.
Hole is just beyond the point of insert
Remove the screw from switch it goes through the metal clip in above picture. Left up in the back of switch and then back slightly to release the front nose of the switch. Then carefully work the switch out, if you feel like you are going to damage the upholstery you can remove arm rest for more clearance, but I didn't. The padded area to the inside of switch will give enough to allow removal.
press here to release the connector
Be careful not to crack the wood cover as you remove it.
pull both tabs up and slide off the cover
When you are putting it back together pay attention as the front tab goes under the edge of hole.
Red goes under yellow
Be sure to test function before starting to reassemble to be sure the connector is making good contact with all wires and your issues have all gone away. Otherwise you have some more work to do to find the gemlin causing your issue. If your switch was not the problem you can always test after you fix the issue and then sell the old one on ebay. They are selling for $100 or so to recover most of the money from the switch purchase. I read some other good posts on testing the wiring at the mirrors if you are having a problem. I didn't find testing that point was required since the memory button still could operate my mirrors to position after my playing around moved the mirror out of place.
Be happy to answer any questions.
