Reprogram Key

One of my keys does not work in the ignition after the winter. Is there any way that I can program it with the two other keys? I have the valet key and one regular key that both work. It is the other standard key that doesn't work. It inserts into the ignition and turns, which illuminates the dash lights, but no engine turn over.
Oddly enough, I believe that this is the same key that did the same thing after picking the car up from some dealer service work last year. The dealer drove my car out with the valet key, but when I went to leave after having the service performed, the regular key wouldn't work - it did the same thing. I went in and told them and the tech reprogrammed it and had me on the road in well under 5 minutes. Is there a way to do it on my own? I know with many vehicles if you put the key in the ignition, turn to run, remove it, put the other key in, do the same, and then on the third time you can program a new key. Does anybody know if this method or any other will work for these?
If not, anyone have any clue if this would be covered under select edition warranty?
Thanks,
Nick
