Default Ricky Bobby Buffie !

Won a charity lottery at work for a chance to take your own car three laps around a NASCAR speedway.

And... It was great chance to win points with the wife!

She drove - I took pics. We had a blast!

BTW, as far as I could tell, out of possibly 500 cars, we were the ONLY Jag.

!!!!! REPRESENT !!!!

Certainly not! We had to stay behind a 70mph pace car

But on the back straight of the last lap the pace-car pulled down real low and the cars in front of us spread out and took off! We hit 90+ mph for a few seconds, going into turn three - then she had to back it down really quickly.

In the second pic, there's a "Factory Five Type 65 Coupe." We passed it at about 90mph - right after that photo was taken, when the pace car let us have a moment of fun. That was kinda cool, but I really don't think the type 65 driver was even on the throttle!

By the way, about 30 minutes later while we were watching the other cars drive around the track, a rowdy youth in a 1990s Fox bodied Mustang (who, earlier in the evening, was doing burn-offs in the line to get into the track) got his chance to show his ***! When the pace car pulled down, letting the drivers have a litttle bit of fun, this joker nailed it and pulled redline in several gears. He predictably, spun out into the infield on turn four and was immediately surrounded by 10 police cars!

What a douchebag!

Thumbs up

Nice to see the actual car instead of just fuel rail bits

Any pictures of a Prius taking a lap?

I didn't take any pics of them - but no kidding, there WERE several Priuses making the big circle!

Most funny? The TEN Smart Cars that all lined up together and made the laps..... Pathetic? Yes - But kinda amusing for sure!

Man! That's the way a green car should look. Looks great with the Jag wheels.

Thank you Plums, edtexas and Jeff!

See Plums, I actually have a the car and not just an engine!

I'm constantly surprised how many folks think that those wheels are "aftermarket" rims.

And Jeff, I whined a bunch when I read the "fine print" on the ticket about having to go 65-70mph behind a pace car and Buffie sez... " Barry, shut up and give me the ticket. A sweet Jag and a chance to drive on a NASCAR track? I think it would be cool!" And that settled who would be drivin'!

About five other women (that were NOT driving) gave Buffie big props - like shouting "You go girl!"

I'm bankin' the good vibes!
