Rotors - which to get and where to find them? 2000 XK8
I have some trouble finding good value high quality rotors, I thought I'd found them when I could get a full set of Centric Premiums for $240 incl. shipping from Partsgeek - but they were out of stock, alas, the hunt continues! I've found a full set of the same rotor from racepages, that'll set me back $323 :|
I hear Centric is good, any difference between their regular and premium rotors?
I also hear Brembo is decent, but have yet to find front Brembo rotors fitting my car.
It seems like one best avoid drilled rotors as they might crack, slotted or dimpled is probably OK, but not a req.

Did you try Rockauto or SNG Barratt USA?
http://www.rockauto.com
Rockauto consistently outpriced other stores - based on my experience with both my 03 XKR and my 05 Accord. SNG Barratt is a Jag-specialized parts suppliers based in New Hampshire.

+1 on RockAuto.com. I looked online at the three big national auto parts firms, and their prices are sky high. All pads and rotors have increased greatly in recent years.
RockAuto is showing all the good brands of rotors, and prices are great.
I see no reason to get drilled and slotted rotors unless the car is going to be driven very aggressively. Jaguar brakes are completely conventional, and they're very easy to replace. I went to Wagner semi-metallac pads, but there was metal for one turning in my OEM rotors @ 59K miles.

Ditto on R1 Concepts. I have their premium rotors on both of my cars. You can get them in any format, but I went with blanks. A friend just ordered a set of pads and rotors from R1 for his 08 BMW 750 iL.

I have brembo replacement rotors on my xk8, they weren't too bad online. If you want the little paint job (as I did) just tape up the surface and spray the 'cooling' fins and hub with some high heat paint, mine still look great. You don't need the really thick paint (using that brush and can paint) for the fins or hub, it sticks good...unlike the calipers which need that really good paint system to stay in place.
