Still trying to get this disc update. Followed a few threads, & looked on eBay, many for 2007 onward none so far for my year 2003. Does anyone know if the later discs are compatible? Was there a change/update to the DVD readers. Or is there any member who has an update copy for sale. I need UK & Portugal maps.

There is no update after 2003, if your screen shows the clock you have the latest one.
Best bet would be an alternative system, a search of the X100 forum will provide some options that others have used.

 

On my 2001 with factory sat nav, the discs that came with it didn't even have Spain on them, just a blank outline. I searched for an updated disc like you are doing and gave up and installed a Garmin sat nav in place of the OEM.

 

Ok beginning to get the idea that the sat nav system fitted 'ain't no good'
So what did jaguar do? Did they change the DVD reader or is it the screen? Either way our it possible to change either the reader or screen? I have see after married screen that sits over the original, is that the way to go?

 

My 2005 XKR came with the latest Disc....It was the same as the 2003 Disc, therefore I guess that they did not update it after 2003....Mine still works just fine....Only thing is.....There are no new Roads or Sub-divisions on it since 2003. I still use it to find addresses in Houston but only able to find older intersections in the newer parts of town......It is still useful because of that.....Just can't find certain locations as they were not there in 2003....Still, most Highways and the basics are there! Then, if they don't show-up or I really need to find an address, I grab the iPhone! It's amazing the things it does!
