Default Saying Goodbye

Well, after a long decision-making process, yesterday we sold the XK8. We've enjoyed having it, but didn't drive it as much as it deserved. That and we're trying to downsize in advance of moving closer to our son and his family, and probably won't have room to keep it. I do want to thank this community for all the information and assistance I've gleaned from all your posts over the time we've owned it.

It went to a very good home not very far from here, and the couple, ex-pats from England, seemed quite pleased with it. So, I know it will be well enjoyed and taken care of.

I still have the Victor TF replica to play with and keep my British car needs covered. Since I built it - all the work aside from painting - there's a connection there that will be hard to let go.

So, again, thanks to all of you!

Mickey

Mickey, sorry to hear that and do understand.
One day if we are all lucky enough to watch our cars go to a good home.
Best of luck for your future and enjoy the family.

Mickey, a LONG Friendship that began back in the T. Barnhill & Clarksville days,
We've had a lot of experiences and all pleasant. Wishing you and your wife a safe and enjoyable relocation. Glad the XK8 got a good home.

I completely understand, Mickey. We all need to begin downsizing at some point. Take care and happy motoring....

Not really. I'm at the stage where there are more important things than collecting cars. I'll miss it, for sure, but no regrets.
