Seat Module for 2001 XK8
#2
I had to fix one a few years back and these are programmed modules. You might not be able to just take from from another vehicle and swap it over. You have to make sure the programming codes are the same. Anyway, I used a company out of Tennessee that repairs electronic modules. I think they used to be called ECU but I just googled and looks like they've changed names to Automotive Scientific. 1-866-983-6688. They charged a few hundred and repaired my module. It took them a few tries but they did get it working like new. A new module I think was is the range of $800 plus programming.
The problem with these modules is they are attached to the bottom of the seat with little reinforcement and they get bent from the weight of the passenger in the seat. I built a new bracket to make mine stronger when I reinstalled so that it wouldn't happen again.

Common problem but repairable. The case touches the edge of the circuit board and breaks one or more of the printed lines. In my case 4 and cost $50 to have repaired. Here is a link to a previous thread with information on how to DIY or who to contact for repair.
