Seat problem 01 xk8
So, my left side driver seat quit as I was returning it to my regular position. I rarely move it and the auto seat isn't being used(either doesn't work and or not sure how to use it yet).
I was returning it back and it quit, no buttons work, I've checked every fuse I can find on the car. The fuse block on the left end of the dash 1 and 8 was fine.
I've switched the seat modules and they both work on the right side. Neither work on the left side.
I can get the seat out without taking the base out.
I think now I'm needing to test the seat controls or replace them. I don't know my options here or find a short in the harness, hopefully it's Isolated to the seat area.
Where y'all think I should go from here?

The fact that you have lost all seat functions during adjustment suggests loss of power to the module. With your fuses OK then the next step is to confirm voltage supply to the module. The harness beneath the seat has a sort of 'S' bend where the copper can fatigue over time. A multi-meter could be used to determine voltage but I do not know exactly which pins on the connector will show the potential difference.
