Default Seatbelt warning

Dear forum, just to be sure. Whenever you are not wearing a seatbelt in the x100, you should get a noise + warning light right? I'm not getting either so before I start digging around I just want to be sure.

By the way, if someone already has a suggestion, I'm listening.

brgds, Hans

Hans I don't get a warning either. Didn't know whether to praise the previous owner or the Jaguar engineers, I don't miss it 1 bit!

Default No seatbelt warning on my 99 XK8

No seatbelt warning message either on my Gen 1 MY99 XK8. Don’t miss it as the seat belt warning message is a pain in my other cars esp if it beeps too. Reminds me of other stupid messages like “Key in Ignition” etc

The seatbelt warning can be turned off by an owner on the later X150 but I can't recall if it's an owner or dealer option on the X100 ..........

Guess you're gonna have to wait for a 2001 owner to say what they see? Gosh unless you get someone to say yes mine beeps, I don't know how you're going to close this one in your mind.

On a lot of models the chime is fairly simple to enable / disable (not sure about the early X100s) the light not so much.
Does it come on with the initial instrument check? Could be a bulb maybe?

None of my 2001 and 2002 XK8s bing or message. Pretty sure I didn't disable them all.

I'm trying to figure out why for the XK8 CAN/SCP PID project. Will let you know if/when this happens unless someone else knows first...
