Looks like a nice clean car--going for it?

I have always found that the best deals for unusual or higher end used cars are when you find one that has been traded in at a dealer that has nothing to do with these vehicles. I remember years ago when I was shopping around I noticed a local Honda dealership offering an XK8 at a great price. So these other-main-brand dealers end up with this one oddball on their lot and want to get rid of it quickly. There is a local Mercedes dealer that randomly gets later models XK traded in and their tack is to first price it pretty fairly (but not great) and then a week later drop $5,000.

I have found that dealers don't want to touch these cars, don't want to give you **** for them, and say they would have to send it out to a repair shop that deals with them, that all that is too much and not worth putting on their lot.

so you are not of the opinion that we all need both a coupe and a vert? Love the red color BTW.

Looks like a good deal to me. The question is why would someone trade in a beautiful XK8 for a Hyundai? My 2005 had about that mileage when I bought it. 60,000 miles later, it has needed very little in way of repairs. Love it to bits!

Computer Budda,
You're absolutely right, a coupe and a convertible belong in your garage! I've got mine...
And the Carnival Red is my favorite color as well.

Carnival Red was once my favorite color. But I decided I don't want to drive a red car all the time and Seafrost, being pastel, is so South Florida.
