Hi,
i've picked up a '99 XKR with 60k miles which has been sat in a garage for most of the past 3 years (only done ~1500 miles since last service)
other than an oil and brake fluid change, is there anything that 'must' be done and is there anything specific i should look out for?
the car runs well so nothing obvious needs doing. i'd appreciate any advice you can give.
regards,
Ross

do you have any service history available?
First thing I would recommend is finding out if the timing chain tensioners have been replaced from the original plastic ones as they have a tendency to break.
I'd put a new battery in
replace transmission fluid
check/replace hoses
this is just to start

Check and replace rubber parts, like belts and hoses. Also, look for critter damage IF mice, chipmunks or squirrels could have gotten to any wiring. (I had something chew partially through wiring on another vehicle that later broke. It was a wire to a speed sensor and the car would not idle. It was an $800 repair.)

There's 90% of your answer.
Look at the factory maintenance schedule for things that need to be done by the calender vs. mileage. Make sure those are up to date.
Belts and hoses etc. don't deteriorate any faster on a car in storage than one in regular service.
