Side marker options UK

Side marker options UK
What are the options in regard to de-oranging the little quarter markers on the bumpers?
ive seen clear, smoked, red, orange versions.
i was thinking of attempting to retrofit the American spec ones that light up. Red at the back and orange or white behind clear on the front.
Questions:
Are the American spec sockets in the loom somewhere? If so do they just need the bulbs plugging in to work? Or do they need wiring in? If so where?
anyone got a picture of a red car with mods to these reflectors as an example.

I have a 1998 and have made the rear side markers light up. The wiring was tucked away under the bumper, and I just had to buy the bulb holder, which is the same as the indicators. I've put a red vinyl wrap on them to change the colour (only cost a couple of quid, not that the red lenses are that much). I don't know if the wiring to the front ones is there, as I've never looked.

The wiring is present for all 4. You will need 4 of these (Ford part # is 1203522, for MK1 Focus):
If you're planning on re-skinning your existing reflectors, note that on non-US cars the location for the bulbholder is blanked off.
I used a twist drill and a small flat file to recreate the hole that the bulbholder fits into.
This thread of Jon89's has some pictures of the wiring connector and bulb sockets:

I'm not sure if your English version of the 2003 XKR came with Side Marker Lights but I think they did....You can buy Clear Lens for the front, which are normally Amber in color . Remove the Amber and glue the Clear lens in their place....Buy a Chrome coated Amber Bulb for each Front Light...When you turn on the Lights it will shine Amber but during the Day it will be Clear. For the Rear Side-Markers just buy a Red bulb and fit it behind the Red Lens....If you want Clear Blinkers to replace the Leapers (If your XKR is set-up that way) buy a Clear Blinker Lens with another Chrome covered Amber Side Marker Bulb....
Look to DCR in Scotland as they normally have these Parts....https://www.xk8-parts.com/contact-us/ I guess it will work in England....
