Default Side moulding removal tip

Hello all,

reading through the forum I read a post about removing the side trim to clean up the side profile of the XK8 series cars. I read that using a credit card or rubber wedge worked well.

I used fishing line and removed the side mouldings with ease and no scratching of the car and then used some goo be gone to remove the residual glue from the car. I found that working the fishing line back and forth almost like dental floss worked best.

Cool, any pics of the before and after?

When I was removing mine, I found that 3M makes an automotive adhesive remover which worked great as well!

Actually-- cheap ole' WD40 will greatly enhance the ability of the fishing line to cut. Pull away from the body so not to possibly scratch the paint. Clean up with Goo-Gone....
