Default Sleek or Sacrilege?

I like it - or what it could be!

Default To each their own

This seems pretty common: "Fairly heavily modified, but not quite done, please give me lots of money". MOT expired in 2015.

Not an auspicious start regardless of the tire width.

Likely when it was written off.
Only 'uneconomical to repair' UK category, so probably minor damage. At least the seller has noted that.

I hope the standard of work that you can't see is better than that which you can. Plastic arches screwed onto the wings. Ugh.

£2K tops given the rot it's sure to have. Never view a prospective car puchase in the rain...

I think the "Or what it could be" fits best. It has a look to it and if completed with a lot more panache, it could be very sleek, and beautiful. But I agree where it's at is I've got XXXX into give me money! Only problem is correcting all the things screwed up on it. Will likely cost you triple, before it's the way you want it, or it should be. Just my thoughts.

Not my cup of tea but I think you could pull off the exicution better if the wheel arches where widened properly.

There is something not right with that front bumper valance. Pretty sure the bit tucked inside the 'mouth' should be underneath.

Screwed on arch extensions is a look that works on some cars, but not the XK8.

I considered going wide arch on my XKR but unless it is done like a full on GT race car it looks terrible.

Here's a photo from the ebay listing. It will soon disappear but this thread stays forever.
