Default So I just added an XK8 to the fleet

Hey guys,

Just added an 01 xk8 to the fleet. It's an 01 with 65k. I'm a dealer and I bought it from a local wholesaler (who I told call me if u get a clean jag) before it made it's way to the auction.

These are the only pics I have of it so far. More when I pick it up this evening. As far as I know everything works except the power driver seat, but It was in an OK position to drive.

More to come....

Some first pics:

Take care,

George

Thanks guys.

She's home. But it's raining

Here's what I've noticed so far.

Drivers seat is dead electrically. Doesn't move at all. And the driver heated seat switch button doesnt work. I need to do some research. I seem to remember something about the under seat modules corroding or having broken traces.

The car pulls a little bit to the right. I need to check tire pressures, and then possibly put it on our allignment rack. It requires the slightest bit of tension on the wheel to keep it from drifitng right.

I think one of the bulbs in the climate control backlighting is out.

The driver's headlight has condensation in it. Also typical xk8.

The car needs the mother of all details. It's covered in a dried caked on mess of pollen and dirt, and some bird crap. So please excuse these pics. I need to spend a few hours on it with a clay bar and a buffer.

More after the monsoon stops....

Take care,

George

George pulls off yet another pre-auction steal. Congrats!! You'll get plenty of assistance from the long-time XK owners here on both sides of the pond. They really know their stuff....
