Curbs constantly jumping out and ruffinup my Sepang 15 spoke wheel trims. Does anyone know whether the trims can be removed without damage to tires?

 

Edit. It's late and I was thinking about a different wheel than the sepangs when making my orignal post.

How are they listed on your site? There are so many different names for rim protectors on the market. Perhaps a P/N would help....?

 

I've dealt with these folks in the past. Very easy to do business with them. There are even instructions on how to DIY. I did them myself on a 2005 XKR that I used to own. Easy Peasy!

Curbed wheels have been a major issue ever since mfgs deleted hubcaps many years ago. I think you would be amazed at how many cars are traded in with curbed wheels. Almost all dealers have them repaired before putting the cars on their lots.
Curb wheel repair has become a big business with mobile repair shops visiting dealers on a regular basis. Cost of a full repair to non-detect status in my area of Oregon is about $120. Every large city has these mobile repair operators.

Do you have Sepang split rim alloys like these on my 2005 XK8?



If so, the chrome 'beauty ring' can be replaced but the wheel has to be stripped down to do it.
