I'm wondering if there's not a difference in spring and body height depending between CATS and non-CATS...

Thanks !
Sure, I can get a profile shot. Soon as the sun comes back around!
I think CATS is an XKR feature, so no, I don't have it. Perhaps that's why XKR's always seem to be sitting level.

Guess that blows my theory about XKR's always sitting level. Does CATS just stabilize roll?

Before it was about -1 degree. So on my car it has offset the rear about 1 degree with the 1" lowering Eibachs.

Hello Paul,

Is the rear quarter view in your profile before or after the rear lowering ?

I love it anyway ('cause it's BRG !)

My profile pic is Before the Lowering.

You mean that they actually offer other colors than British Racing Green?

Hey Skid, I really like this look but do I understand you correctly that you only lowered the rear? I think I'll add this to my next list of mods for next year; haven't got this year's mods done yet.

That's correct, the front was low enough, and just wanted to have equal space between the tire and fender opening on the front and back. Worked great!

Thanks a lot ! Makes quite a difference... Since installed, have you noticed any behavior or balance change with only the rear spring rates being modified ?

f-xo;

I can't speak for Skid, but if anything the handling of my car is a bit more crisp since I lowered the rear by 1.25". It was good before the change, and a bit better after. Certainly no deterioration in handling or unpredictability.

Used this formula to determine the right shim thickness:
0.5 mm divided by 150mm (aprox distance axle to the hub bolt (centers)), then tan-1 and you get 0,19 degrees.

Have just fitted a 3mm thicker shim (so 6*0.19) to get aprox 1.14 degrees off, now I only need to have it measured professionally, roughly it ssems to be slighly less then -1 degrees. It looks already much better again.

Finally got around to do the new alignment, and the calculation is about right, I went to about -0.85 degrees. However as also the toe needed adjustment, the camber got further to -0.66 as you just have 1 bolt to adjust the 2, but am happy with it.

Have also done it myself on the garage floor with spring compressors, it’s doable. It was certainly worth it and the car is now level again ;-).

I know in the past Eibach provided shims also, and although maybe not necessary, I will check the camber this week and may adjust it pending on the values. I certainly don’t want to wear out the inside of the tires only, not so good for traction either.
Hi Avos,

can'i know where you had buy your Eibach sport springs?
