Default stability control fail 99 jaguar xk8

cleaned the wheel speed sensors , still had code, cracked open module and resoldered wires, replaced, code gone for a few days , opened again resoldered again , code gone for 2 days again. looked at wiring at module and sprayed all with contact cleaner. upon close inspection the wire coming from pump to module looked like it was loose at pump. pushed everything there in direction of pump housing. is this wire part of the pump or is it just connected between the pump and the module ? didnt want to tug on it and break something ..btw after doing all this the code is gone again .{have had this problem since buying the car 4 yrs ago so am guessing it will take a bit for everything to talk with each other again}

I think the wire is hard wired to the pump motor. You can check for continuity with a multimeter set to resistance - from memory should be 4 ohms or under( and also, of course, not open circuit)

Whatever you do..... DON"T get the DTCs from the module.
If you actually read the DTCs you might know the fault causing the malfunction.

I'm being sarcastic but don't you think it might save time and money to find out WHY the module is indicating a FAULT???

Guessing is Guessing!!

Find a WDS, IDS, SDD, AutoEnginuity, Autologic............etc..

just looked at the spec sheet for the actron and it doesn't list Jaguar ABS capability.P1000 is OBD tests not yet complete- ABS DTC will be a C code. What code (s) were originally present?

none car sat for 6 months due to lack of money to repair {needed to replace upper shock mounts and shocks and replace valve cover gasket on passenger side which was overtightened when they replaced timing chain tensioners} when restarted it sputtered a little causing the knock sensors to trigger. bought the code reader and cleared those codes . the scf code seems to appear now when first started and clears after car is restarted .the scf code has been pretty much present since i bought the car would occasionally go out if it was very cold outside which led me to believe it was the solder thing making contact with the contacts shrinking tighter due to coldness.

Check your battery condition if the car sat for six months - a weak battery can throw ABS faults. If good try the above link and work through it

Default i got the same msg

just ignored it as i had only been able to drive the car twice in the last 2 months due to a wrist injury ... and yes of course as soon as the battery charged itself up a little (12 miles during the day, no lights or a/c on etc) - the msg disappeared ...

have 2 amps for the stereo system in the car am wondering if they are drawing down the battery when it sits causing the scf warning which woulld explain the code disappearing after the car is driven for awhile and the battery is at full charge just a thought or possibly something else drawing the current out of the battery at an abnormal rate when it sits .

autoengunity scanner showed a bunch of codes cleared them and the ones that returned were c1155 c1233 and c1095 . we then checked the ohms for the left front sensor and right rear sensor both read 1.187 which leads us to believe the abs module is bad . any thoughts all ?

Check the pump motor as per my previous post - if the motor is OK it's probably the module - according to the rebuilding companies they can throw wheel sensor codes as well as C1095 when faulty.https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...ow-works-3853/ - post 4
