Hello Gents,

Having rebuilt my ZF-5HP24 transmission and replaced front shock upper mounts and front anti-roll bar bushings in the past 2 months, the amber warning for Stability/Traction Control Failure has now lit up permanently.

Plugged in my cheap ODB II scanner and was expecting to read which wheel rotation sensor has failed, but it says NO CODES.

I am wondering if the OBD II system for my MY97 XK8 will actually tell me which wheel sensor has failed if I purchased a Bluetooth ELM327 ODB II reader to work with my Android smart phone? (refer to this OBD II reader thread https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...reader-164869/ )

Your valuable advices are most welcome。。。

 

when you replaced the front shock mounts/bushes, did you reconnect the abs sensors when you finished? just asking from experience


As for OBD reader - I think the Android app is limited to P codes - engine/ecu, etc not brake codes. Others will correct me if I am wrong

 

Someone recently reported getting C codes for the ABS system using the torque app. Can we get a confirmation from others?
