Standard radio vs. premium radio

I just purchased a 2000 XK8 and cannot determine if the car has the standard radio or premium radio. I have searched this site and read that the premium radio has the H&K amp and a sub woofer. My car seems to have a sub woofer (the mode feature on the radio has a setting for S. W. and I can hear the sub woofer), but it does not appear to have an amp (or I cannot see it). So how can I tell if my car has the standard radio or premium radio?
If I have the standard radio can i simply purchase the H&K amp and upgrade the sound system? Is this an easy "plug and play" upgrade? I would want to use the stock oem parts to keep the car original and do not want to upgrade the radio other than using parts for the premium system.
Thanks.

All 2000 XKs sold in the US (to my knowledge) had the Premium Sound. The small triangular grilles at the front of the door windows have the "Alpine" insignia on them when equiped with Premium Sound.
This is from the 2000 US Brochure:
