My 2001 XKR has to spend the winter outside. I take it off the road for 6 months from October to April. I use a Storm "Monsoon" winter car cover and a separate soft-top protective cover and keep hooked up to a CTEK battery charger/maintainer in "winter mode" - I also put a couple of condensation traps inside the cabin and the boot and a full tank of fuel with Stabil fuel stabiliser and then just leave it totally alone.
I wanted to fit Gus's convertible top pressure relief valve today as it was dry.
Key in ignition, left it for 1 minute for electrics to stabilise, turned to start and it fired FIRST TIME. Now I think that's pretty darned impressive![Smile](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Have to say the convertible conversion kit is brilliant - fitted and working in about 2 hours. I've also successfully fitted a Garmin Nuvi 55 in place of the standard SatNav. Bought an old SatNav unit and took the screen surround/buttons off - the Nuvi just fits inside a treat so it all looks OEM - powered from the auxiliary socket beside the glove box and tuns on and off with the ignition - sweet![Icon Cake](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_cake.gif)
Now all I need is the sun to come out on April 1 and I'm away![Icon Biggrin](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
