started smoking down the highway!!!
well i noticed a small oil leak in my garage the other day right under the passenger side catalytic converter but it was small and oil level was good..saturday i was driving down the freeway in the middle of no ware so i decided to step on it some..slowed down and dropped it to second and floored it.stayed in it hard untill the top of 3rd and the car started blowing thick white some out the back,it looked like the car was on fire..i let off and it took about 30 seconds to clear up.i finished the drive and all seemed well...got it home and more oil in the garage same spot under the cat..i know oil dripped on my exhaust and started smoking..im thinking a seal blew or let oil bypass from high oil pressure from extended high rpm..doesnt the oil cooler lines run over there?havent been under it yet..i have driven the car 2 times since then and no smoke but still oil on the ground

My first check would be to find and fix the oil leak ,then see if there is still smoke on acceleration. The most likely cause of actual exhaust smoke on hard acceleration is a blown head gasket letting coolant into the cylinders. Hard acceleration creates low manifold vacuum and oil smoke is less likely then, it is more common on decelleration when vacuum is high. If fixing th eoil leak doesn't do the job, do a compression test to check for head gasket problems.
