Hi guys
I'm new to this car and forum of course, engine was cranking over but couldn't start even with the help of jump leads. After few usual attempts I've floored the accelerator few times and the engine stoped cranking although the starter is turning, have I damaged something ??? eny clues will be appreciated.
Thanks

Change the battery, put a teaspoon of oil in each cylinder then crank the engine over to see if it starts. Any more hints about when it stopped running would help, and I recommend a compression test before d after putting the oil in since you will have the plugs out anyway- it will tell us alot.

Welcome to the forum 3000,
I'd also suspect 'bore wash' after the continuous cranking. The result is the oil is washed off the cylinder walls by excessive fuel and compression is lost. Follow dsnyder856 advice in post #2 to restore compression.
Also be very careful when using jump leads. The engine on the starter vehicle must NOT be running or there's a real risk of frying some sensitive electronics on the Jaguar. Always better to re-charge or replace the Jaguar battery.
