Steering Wheel Exchange

Another Question about different years of different parts. I am considering swapping the steering wheel on my '06 Victory Edition for a Wood trim model. Checking eBay, I see models listed as '96-'98, '98-02, '98-02,etc. Is there a difference in fit between different year cars?
I simply prefer the look of wood. Here in S.W. Fla, I should prefer the full leather wrap of mine, but I have a cover that I use in the heat to protect the wood, and would like to swap out the leather for a nice simple wood wheel. Anyone want a really nice Taupe Victory Edition Wheel?

I know that this is not a response that you are looking for, but honestly, I suggest that you keep your car's original steering wheel (maybe wrap it in a vacuum storage bag like you can get from Harbor Freight Tool, etc., and store it with the spare tire), because when people buy classic cars, they typically want theirs to be "as original as possible", especially with a highly visible item like the steering wheel.

Tom, Thx for the thoughts, and from what you have in you garage I can understand your view. I will likely do just that.
As to the buttons, I believe the ones on mine are similar to the ones that I am looking at. There are several listed. Just checking to make sure there are not other points I might be missing. Buttons are something I want to be sure to look for. Thx for that heads up.
