Default Steering wheel mystery

Ive just purchased a 98 xkr sport australia delivered. The steering wheel has XKR in 1" letters on it instead of the jag logo. Its a factory wheel with phone, audio and crus buttons on it. Ive searched US and UK sales site and have not come across this wheel. Im new to the XKR series so it might be a simple question. Also does anyone know if 4.0 camshaft blanks are available.

It was an option in the XKRs with the performance pack, I think.

Thanks for that, it may have been added as my xkr has the standard 18" rims and brakes

I knew I'd seen that somewhere!

The book You & Your Jaguar XK8 by Nigel Thorley has a photo on page 57 of the 1998 XKR interior showing exactly that pattern of logo.

The caption reads "..... all XKR's had Sport trim as standard and carried the 'XKR' insignia embossed into the steering wheel"
