Default Stick on Number plate on bonnet/hood in UK

Never been happy with number plate over the air intake so have moved it down on brackets but how do those of you in UK go on with stick on plates on the front of the bonnet ? ie do you get police attention? Do you change it for the MOT .
Cannot find anything on web DVLA etc about plates being vertical ....
Comments, please

The UK Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001 6(3)(a) states "...vertical or as close to vertical as is 'reasonably' possible"
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/...ulation/6/made

Guess it depends on your definition of 'reasonable' and the mood of the officer concerned.

It came up in a thread a little while ago.
I believe some of the UK pollis can be quite enthusiastic about enforcement.

I would be interested to hear from anybody who was stopped with a plate on the bonnet ( hood)
how the conversation went ...did they get fined and where it was in the UK
