Strange Door lock problems.
When locking on the remote the passenger door lock bounces before settling in the lock position. The driver's lever does not move through the actuator can be heard bouncing to match the passenger door. The cable does not seem to be broken as it will let you open the drivers door .
Suggestions and how do you get the driver's door lock out to check? repair ?
Car will not lock the drivers door on remote. Done hard and soft reset and battery is over 12.6
Note the bouncing is door controller attempting to lock the drivers door and trying 6 times before giveing up.

This problem is usually the result of a failing microswitch inside the door latch assembly. There are numerous threads on where to order new microswitches and how to effect the repair. Use the forum search feature with "XK8 door latch microswitch replacement repair" as your search phrase and you will have plenty of reading to do....

This is the microswitch you will need D2SW-3L3MS Omron Electronics | Mouser United Kingdom I had this problem on mine as well. Took a while to fix but it wasn't difficult it was just trial and error to find the right position and orientation of the switch. Just remember which way the original came out and you won't have this problem. The one you probably need to change is the one directly below the switch South. When I took the origininal one out it was all banged up and scratched, no idea why. I guess it's just been damaged through being used so much. Cut the blue wire away you don't need that and bend the lever on the switch to around the same shape as the original.
