Sun Faded Wood

I have a 2001 XK8 Conv in which the Dash Wood has really faded/discolored. I can not park in a Garage and really do not want to do a Car Cover.
Several months ago, I replaced the Sat Nav System with a 3 Gauge from Steve (Jag Wrangler aka Whitexkr) and installed Center Cluster Wood. The Center Wood does not match 'color or grain' with anything else. It was just a matter of filling the hole, at the time.
Anyway, I have recently located replacement wood (LH and RH Vent, Left Cluster, Center Cluster and Right Airbag) off of a 2001 XK8 that is supposed to be in pretty decent shape, at a reasonable price. It also solves the problem with the Air Bag Code Light (lower LH corner) in the Wood, which was not in the Model Years prior to 2001.
My concern is, the 'fading/discoloration' problem that the 2001's had, because of the Wood not being prepared properly at the factory. I really do not want to install some Wood that is going to be faded out again in the next year or so.
My car has a Build Date of 11/00 (I believe this to be November 2000). My question is, are there any records from Jag Factory, stating what Build Date and/or VIN#, the problem as to the discoloration/fading of the 2001 Model Year Dash Wood was resolved?
Thanks ... Bill

AFAIK, the Cloudy Wood was due to improper formulation of the coating. I believe that the wood would Cloud Up regardless of exposure to the sun. The pics I have seen show even clouding regardless of position in the cockpit.
That being the case, wood that is Un-Clouded at this point would not be in the defective group.
Others may wish to add to my comments.
