Default Sun visor

New member here, but not new to Jaguar. Had a 1984 XJS convertible for 10 years. Wife caught me looking at car **** on line. We traded the old one in on a 2006 XK8 convertible 2 years ago. First problem with the new one. The passenger side sun visor has come loose, where it swivels from in front to the side. The plastic base that measures 2 inches right to left, & 3/4 inch front to back has come loose on the right end as you look to the front of the car. I tried to remove the top metal bar on top of the windshield, but did not want to force it & bend it, same thing with the cloth cover on the A pillar. I looked on line to see if there was a video to help, but only found ones on how to repair the mirror or the mirror light. Don't really want to take it to a dealer if I can help it, as the nearest one is 2.5 hours away. Look forward to using the forum. Thanx in advance for the help.

The plastic base of the visor hinge snaps off and you will see the mounting plate and screws that hold it on. No need to remove the windshield header.

The A pillars also snap off, but be careful as the plastic is likely brittle. This video should help:
