I hate to ask this question because I know that there is a super simple easy answer that I should know. However, I've been searching for hours and can't find a solution.
I simply need a right side tail lamp connector with pigtails for my 1997 XK8, and despite my Googling and forum search, can't find a source.
I am hoping to find a local source or at least somewhere that can overnight the part.
The part says Ford ES88A on it. Do Ford dealers stock such parts?

Alternatively, can I get really small individual electrical connectors that fit onto the blades, at least as a temporary fix?
The previous owner glued the wires into the connector and though that lasted for a surprisingly long time, it doesn't work anymore!

I have a 97 parts car I can get it from. But the best I can do is get it from the car tonight and send it out tomorrow morning. If you can't find another source send me a PM.

 

Thank you for your kind offer Bob. As it happens, I suddenly recalled that my local indie, Master Auto in Rockville, MD, is on my way to work, so decided to stop by this morning. I hate to be "that guy" always looking for Jaguar parts (though I am becoming "that guy"), however Paul and Mike are polite and helpful and perhaps they take pity on my plight (doesn't hurt that the upcoming holiday has people thinking about Xmas shopping rather than Jaguar repair).

Also, (here's a plug), Master does an awesome job when repairs are beyond my abilities.

Anyway, Master had a "breaker" that had already seen the removal of its tail lights, but not the connectors. So, with a sawbuck to Master, I was on my way.

I guess connectors don't break very often (except in 20 year old Jaguars) so it's hard to find new replacements. But if anyone has a source they would like to share, I would love to hear about it and am sure other owners could benefit as well. I enjoy driving my car, but it always seems that the simplest of problems takes me out of action for a couple weeks at a time.
