Default TB Plugs?

I've been researching a bit here on the fourm...

What/where are TB Plugs - somewhere in or part of the throttle body and...

What/where is the part load breather hole...again, in or around the TB, I assume.

I need to clean/replace this stuff and the MAFS before I go off the deep end

Interestingly, last week I hit a deer and did some minor damage to the drivers side bumper cover and center hood...I haven't opened it figuring I'd let the body shop mess with it.

The TB is pretty close up there...what's the likelthood that after a week a crack/leak gets bad enough to trip the limp home mode I had tonight?

Thanks!

Default Thanks

Most helpful! Thanks for pictures.

Hopefully this isn't the beginning of a loooong saga.

I'll disconnect the battery to clear everything, Sea Foam the intake, inspect the throttle body plugs and clean the MAFS.

I'll let you know what heppens.

Default Success!

A cleaning seems to have resloved the problem, at least in the short term.

There eas a good deal of dirt- sandy stuff - in the round TB plug. The installation positions the female "cup" downwards from the male slider - effectively making a trap for water and dirt. Think ahead Jaguar!

The larger TB plug pulled off too easy -that was probably the problem.

I sent my test driver (girlfriend) off to town, so we'll see....

Thanks for the help!
