Default throttle cable adjustment

just put on a new throttlebody and now need to adjust the cable as its too slack. how do i do this? i used the search button but come up with the newer throttle body. my car is a 1999 model xk8. the one with 2 nuts on the cable sleeve end and attached to the throttle body. does any body have a pdf on this maintenance i would really appreiciate it thanks

Here's a thead with a lot of discussion about throttle cable adjustment, but the focus is getting out the slack that just naturally comes with time. You may have more than this method will accomodate.

This bulletin has the procedure to set the slack on your throttle cable. Ignore the VIN range, the cable and attachment is the same on yours.
