I have just replaced my radiator in my 2001 XK8. As part of the replacement I had to undo the 2 transmission pipes that connect to the radiator. Therefore I have lost some of the tranmission fluid.

My question is what type of transmission fluid do I need to buy to top up the system?

I have looked through the FAQ as see a selection from Esso LT 71141, Mobil LT 71141, to Mercon V and Pentosin AFT1.

Could someone advise me as to what is the best to use and also where is the tank where I need to put the fluid? Is it the tank right near the radiator on the drivers side? Any guess as to how much I will have lost in the radiator replacement?

I am then going to top up my antifreeze`with Prestone Dexcool (orange) is that correct? (it was orange colour that came out)
