Default Total electrical failure

I had my 99 XK8 on a battery tender for a month and when I tried to start it the lights all came on properly but when I engaged the starter there was a loud POP from under the bonnet and I lost all electrical. Is there a main breaker or fused link of some sort. I have not had a chance to look for the problem but maybe someone has a suggestion.

The main breaker is in the boot, there are separate feeds to the starter and the rest of the electrics.
You can download the electrical diagram here

- look in the HOW-TO stickies for all the info on your car.

A CLUNK from a starter solenoid is bad enough but a POP is way too much drama.

Follow your nose to check for a charred cable.

You didn't still have the tender on, did you?

Last time I heard a story like that, someone had left the tender on and had tried to start the car.

GGG is right, when pops are involved, you will be able to follow your nose.
