Transmission rebuild

Just did a rebuild on mine. Same problem, got worse when I replaced fluid & filter.
Be sure and have them check the torque converter and main seal while it is out. New mounts are a good idea too. Cheap to do while the trans is out.
Don't know of any performance enhancements, but there are some recommended upgrades. The newer clutch drum for example. Search the threads, you'll get more info.

A few years back I had the transmission out of an XJ40 twice in six weeks. Different model but same advice applies.
First was for a failed torque converter. Back together and running perfectly then the main seal failed!
All that work again for a 5 UKP seal.
