Just passing this along, no interest other than to help with sourcing a small but important part!
I just ordered one and will report back on the quality when it arrives....
They come in all colors...

I'm assuming the old one will need to be removed first, so maybe the button/mechanism will need to be removed to do that?

No You can use a pick to pull up the old cover it's just stuck on, biggest problem I had was getting the new one centered 'just so' .. I removed old black and replaced with Red to match the rest of the badging.

My existing one is faded green, so the new black one will match my new black center caps better.

Just put the new button on. Took less than a minute, as I was able to pry the old one off without removing the mechanism as jamdmyers suggested. Some before and after shots. Small but meaningful difference, and for $7 I'm very pleased.
I hadn't realized how faded/discolored the old one was until seeing them side-by-side. Maybe I should investigate a new bonnet badge too..
(the button coloring looks uneven in the second picture, but its just the flash. Last picture depicts it more accurately)

The front badge is DIY using an XF badge and a bezel fabricated from a hydraulic seal.
Because the nose is not completely flat under the badge, I used a polyurethane hydraulic seal and cut the center out of it to make the bezel. It has that smooth machined look with sharp edges but was soft enough to handle the bend and fill in the gap.
So the bezel is just stretched over and snapped around the mounted emblem. No need to glue it.
It's an SKF seal. Part# FSU25-2.50-SQB. About $7
