Trying to change supercharger oil, but not getting any oil out?
I have one of those small red plastic tubes that you would find on a WD40 can rigged up to a syringe. It pulls in oil from the new bottles with no problem but I can't seem to get much/any old oil out of the supercharger. Is there a special angle I have to stick it in or what am I doing wrong?

You are likely not getting to the oil.
There are MANY posts on this subject suggest just googling.
Here is a post I did a few weeks back.

This may help if not, many others. Good luck, it is quite easy when you get hang of things. Suggest going to store a getting vinyl tubing (most flexible) 1/8th inch . Read.

A spray can tube probably isn't long enough. When I did mine, I had something about twice that length.
It is hard to tell exactly where it ends up in there, best way is to have much more length than you think it should take, poke around while sucking it out and measure what you remove to see if it's reasonably close to how much is supposed to be in there.

You can also check my post from a few weeks ago. I inserted 4" out of 6 into the access hole, as per my post it takes some 'wiggling' to get the hose to move far enough in, a plastic tube won't be long or flexible enough most likely, and the hole is small (yes I read that other post before I did mine as well).

So it looks like everybody used a different amount of tubing, any idea how many inches is actually required? My Ace Hardware did not have 1/8" clear tubing so I got 6 inches of stripped red electrical wire tubing which seems to work and I have gotten a little bit more out but not much. So my problem either has to be...
1. I need more then 6 inches of tubing.
2. My supercharger is removed from the vehicle so maybe the oil is sitting at a different angle.
3. I need a better syringe, this one only holds 10ml.
What does everyone think?
Thanks for the responses!

You probably shouldn't run it that way since the front gear drive is an oil bath, but if you manage to get the supercharger pointed strait down while the car is running, I suspect you have bigger problems.
It's a little fuzzy in my mind but I think that's how Eaton expects you to do it. The sucking it out with a straw thing is only because we do it while still in the car.
Even if it isn't, I can't think of anything that it would hurt.

With all the work to remove the supercharger I would change the coupler for sure. While the snout is off you can check the front shaft for any lateral movement or roughness when rotating it.
The bearings are easy to change however removing the pulley is not. you need a special pulley remover

I took ccfulton's advice, upended it and just poured it out but this is all I got out (see attachment). That is a 11.15 FL OZ container in the picture and as you can see there is not much supercharger oil, that's not normal is it? I'm worried now I may have another issue....

There is a thread here stating that it should have 7.3oz:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...e-notes-57136/
As you say, that's not normal, but would explain why you had so much trouble getting the oil out with a straw.
Are there any obvious signs that it has leaked, say around the bottom of the snout cover? Any oil on the block under that area?
Does it feel like there is play in the bearings? If not, you could refill with fresh oil and then monitor it.
Personally, I would weigh the cost of a rebuild, especially since it's out of the car already. With new bearings, seals, coupler, etc, it should give you a long service life.
