Upgrading to HID headlights

Has anyone purchased any of the many conversion kits that supposedly allow you to upgrade your headlights to HID? There are a number of kits on both EBay and Amazon, but the reviews are not all that great. I'm sure the factory HID system parts are priced way crazy.

Surprising no one else has responded, do a search you will find loads that have including myself on over a hundred XKs..........

I have fitted aftermarket HID. Which work well. I could not go back to oem.

but I couldnt tell you the make as it was 3 years ago and there are no makers markings.

But I am looking to change to the legal option highlighted by xkracer as the technology appears to have moved on.
