Upper shock mount - RESOLVED
I ordered upper shock mounts for the jag and not sure what I received is correct! They are URO #MJA2170BDE and came with 3 separate pieces, I was under the impression they were one piece, are they correct or do I need to return them???
Thanks everyone/

I would not use URO. Either OEM or Welsh.

I just did mine with Eurospare mounts, came in pieces. My car had the original mounts that were in one unit. I will see how the Eurospare month hold up, mounted no problems.

Racket351, you have the outer bits, now if you can, show us a picture of the center, where the rob for the shock bolts.
If you have not taken them apart, I can see the confusion. The springs and shocks pulls it all together.
The 3 bolt part goes on top. white foam part and then the bottom plate where the spring will fit in with the rubber bushing between those parts. Push it all together and put the center nut on and tighten down.
Sounds simple, and after a couple of times, it is.
Sometimes just getting it out of the car proves to be the difficult part.

Absolutely true. Uro is garbage. I ordered a URO receiver-drier once and it failed the next day. Others order URO parts that don't even resemble OEM. URO weatherstripping is cheap and typically has large variance in dimensions, too long or too short. If you install anything Uro be prepared to do the job again with better parts.

Great move! At least with the Welsh product you know that it will definitely fail quickly whereas with any other product you might have to wait a while to have it fail. With all of the negative comments on Welsh I remain shocked that anyone would install their product. Just an outsider looking in.......

Well I have replaced two sets of uro foam and one set of welsh poly so far...
The reason that I will reluctantly continue to use the Welsh is because even though they fail too soon it is the inner bushing that seems to fail which is opposite of the foam mounts where the outers tend to collapse first. So with Welsh I will get shock clunks and will know to replace them well before alignment is affected. The others will just collapse and can ruin your tires before you can likely catch it due to adverse alignment with no noise until the very worst point when the metal starts rubbing together.
I have stated before that I think the sweet spot is a welsh outer bushing with a stock inner bushing.
