Default Vacuum hose on air intake

Couldn't find the hose that goes from the engine to the air intake so got a rubber hose and a couple of clamps to make my own. The factory one is kind of made of plastic and cracked cause it was brittle. For now this will do but does anyone know the name of this hose or where I can find it? No luck at the local auto part stores.

Heres a photo:

By the way. Last night after leaving the local bar I was met up with a Mustang with rumbling mufflers at a red stop light. The driver smiled at me motioning me with his hands to press the gas at the green. The light went green and we both went foot heavy. At the take off the Jag pulled slightly ahead but by 50 or 60 mph the Jag had taken the Mustang completely out by a car length and a half. WOW! Didnt think my car had that many *****! Lol!

Many XK8 Drivers are unaware of the performance that's available when you Really PUSH DOWN on the Gas pedal!!!

Jags power is at higher speeds but most owners are afraid to step on gas, now you know that there is very few cars that will win over a jag at high speeds enjoy and kick some butt

Thanks for the part # guys.

On the side note; I just visited a friend at the local muffler shop. I was shown some Nitro brand mufflers that are an exact copy of the Borla design. He showed me the chamber n the fiber glass which looked exactly the same side by side. Both mufflers will be installed next week for a total cost $150 bones. This will equal a slight meaner growl and an average gain of 15 - 20 HP. Will keep you guys posted.

+1

The wingnuts on the clamps look really good.

The only potential problem is the hose fitting inside the sleeve on the intake tube. If it is not fully sealed, then a vacuum leak is a possibility.

Plums
You are correct sir. What I did was wrap electric tape tightly around the ends then put the clamp on top. For now its sealed pretty good.
