Vee mounts
Hello,i have been searching the forum but cannot find any mention of these so far. I am referring to the vee mounts that cushion the front subframe to the chassis(my car is a 99 XKR). I have read elsewhere that they de-laminate and become ineffective making the steering feel very sloppy and that is the full depth of my understanding so far.
Has anyone changed theirs and found improvements in handling etc or perhaps changed them with no noticeable difference. I`m in the process of slowly collecting bushes etc to eventually renew most if not all the suspension. I have the "skip" feel when encountering some bumps, holes in the road and wondered if the vee mounts are a major contributing factor.Hoping for some pearls of wisdom, thanks.

I was first alerted to them by that thread and the mention that they cause sloppy steering when they start de-laminating. I then started thinking that maybe these could cause the "skip" i sometimes feel on an uneven surface. I am hoping that eventually someone that has changed them might report on what difference they made. I would be wary that changing them although they look tired may not have an effect. Also i would be concerned that they are the cause of the "skip" effect i sometimes get and i might change other bushings unnecessarily.
