Default Ventilation Question

I want to spray some Fabreeze into my ventilation system to eliminate some of the odors

When car is in recirculate mode no outside air enters the cabin. Specifically the windshield cowl vents are not used I would presume.

Where does the system intake the cabin air? Vents under dash MAY may be for when heat/AC is directed to floor Certainly the dash vents are exhaust for AC or heat.

As an example suppose I am in AC mode with recirculate on. I direct my vents to dash and floor. How (where) does the system intake the air before it goes into the AC system.

That's where I want to spray the Fabreeze.

The JTIS states that the Recirculation intakes are via actuated flaps on each side of the Blower assembly. I can only assume that this is above both footwells and probably not easily visible. Recommendation is to spray within each footwell (above the Transmission Tunnel) during recirc with full Fan, and hopefully, your Fabreeze will be sucked in !!

Smoke pellet or smoke machine in the footwell or even a cigarette
If you find it let us have a photo I could do with doing the same job or put an air freshener in the inlet.

Default Evap Cleaner

I used Lubgard 96030 cleaner kit. Remover center dash trim pnl, remove louvers and insert the tube down into the L & R housings (2).
Use entire conterts and follow directions. Once time has passed, Carefully rinse as instructed. Used this product on several autos and always cleared objectional odors. $14. Mine came from O Rilleys. (No Comerical Interest ) Had to come from distributon center since not normal stock.

We used WYNN and BG products at the Jaguar dealer.

BG Frigi-Fresh was available and worked well.

Default Ventilation

Thanks to all who replied
On further thought I decided to NOT use recirculating mode and use the cowl vents. Turned AC and fan on high and tested suction with a piece of paper over the vents. Plenty of suction so I sprayed Fabreze in the vents. Let car run about 10 minutes. Also used some leather scent spray

smells nice
