Default VIN number sequence

Could anyone point me in the direction of info that would clarify the first to last VIN number series on these cars?
No doubt the info is in this forum somewhere bu ti've had a fish round in the stickies and haven't stumbled on it.
I also did a search, but got so many results where the VIN was mentioned, but not the sequence, i gave up.
Specifcally, i'm chasing a gearbox oil cooler hose and one on ebay says it's for VIN's to O10807 only (or is that a zero instead of an Oh)

It's a zero. VINs and (US) license plates don't use OS.

1. MANUFACTURER SERIES RANGE for the XK8 (the last 6 digits of the VIN Code) is:
041000 to 042775
A00083 to A48684

No idea why the early range commencing with zero was discontinued and superseded by a new range commencing with letter 'A'.

2. OIL COOLER PIPES
The original Oil Cooler Pipes were superseded at 018017. There were two further revised part numbers before the ones for your vehicle:

Oil Cooler Output Pipe: NJC4500AA
Oil Cooler Return Pipe: NJC4510BA

The four different part numbers for each of the output and return pipes may only be a change of supplier or material and not the length or connectors. Not worth risking if the seller won't accept returns.

Thanks fellas, seems i was looking in the wrong section, and didn't notice that thread title RCSign, if it came up in my search attempt.

Those 2 part numbers you've posted GGG, would they by any chance be the ones i should be looking for for my VIN number, of the eight possibilities?
Or am i just wishful thinking?

Yes - they're the numbers listed in the Parts Catalogue for your VIN:

It's definitely a pipe gone and not just an 'O' Ring?

Thank you kindly sir, that makes getting a part that fits much easier.

Perhaps before i make myself look even more stupid than i am , i did get under it and attempt to find the source of the leak, but the return hose side is pretty wet and gunjy from dirt and the leak, plus water dripping down the gearbox both sides from the thermostat leak via the back of the block, so i ended up no wiser.
I figured it might be best to just renew both hoses, since the intention is to get a new gearbox pan and refill it with fresh oil anyway.
It's a shame we're on a hose pipe ban, because i would otherwise have popped it down the jet wash and hosed down the underneath of the gearbox to trace the leak better.
As it is, i'm going to have to get axle stands and get under there with some gunk, a bucket of soapy and a brush, and carefully try to clean it all up.
