Dale Dunn does NOT have AJ27.

I did not read through the engine management guide you quoted but it must refer to AJ27 as there is NO CMPS on the right ('A'bank) bank for the ECM to reference for input.

I guess I need to re-read the posts again. I thought Dale Dunn has a 1998 XK8.

Never mind.

Got Vvt solenoids yesterday and installed. Car is running much better and not going into restricted performance anymore. Still getting an occasional 1384 and 1396 but not nearly like it was with el cheapo eBay solenoids. Think I'm just going to run for awhile and see where it goes.
