Waiting for Spring, am I crazy!
Tired of being depressed and all the negative #$%^ in the world that I have decided to forget it all and work on the red jag sitting in the garage.
Spring time brings warm weather and the time to finally do the timing on ths car. Florida Steve expect a call on tools.
In the mean time I have almost decided to go all out on the exhaust on this car, angry.
Nameless Performance 200 cell cats, a forum sponsor, Nameless Performance Inc.
To go along with this comes the angry part, Larini cat back sport exhaust, thru Formula Dynamics,/ / / FORMULA DYNAMICS - MASERATI & FERRARI SPECIALISTS / / /
Is this to ambitious for a shade tree mechanic?
It could all turn into yard art!

I've no experience with the XK's but I can tell you that getting the catalytic convertors/downpipes loose from the exhaust manifolds has always been one very unpleasant task on any other car that I've tried doing it on. If you don't have a lift, I'd just take it somewhere for that portion of the job.

The cats are really the only problem I see also. But since they were already off in the spring to have a used tranny installed I am hoping that if I can get to the upper four nuts on the manifolds it should be an easy, bad word I know, job. The tranny place really messed up the original studs on the cats but stepped up and sent me to an exhaust shop and I have all new studs on the old cats. So at least they have been off since it was built.
Hears hoping for an early spring.
